Kathy was born on 1 June 1946 and grew up in West Mifflin. She graduated from West Mifflin HS and the University of Pittsburgh (BS Education, 1968, MS Educational Research, 1972). Rege and Kathy were married on 24 July 1971 at Resurrection Church in West Mifflin, PA. They had five children. Kathy is currently enjoying her life in retirement from raising kids, and is very active in social activities, and in church organizations.
